Project file is Renegade

Post by roshan » Fri Nov 02, 2012 2:07 pm

Hi,

My .csproj file is frequently get renegade status. When i do the show differences, the repository version is missing newly added files even after whole project is checked in. Newly added files do get checked in, but the .csproject file didn't get updated.
I am using VS.net 2010, vault standard 5.1.2 , enhanced client. I am the only one working on this project now.

Thanks
Roshan

What type of project is this?

Is this a new problem? Did it just start happening with this project?

It's a web application (ASP.NET 4.0) single project solution.
It happened before too, what i did to solve the Renegade was, Get Latest from the repository and did the "overwrite" instead of automatic merge. Then the newly added files were missing from the solution, after that from project -> show all files and include the missing files to the project. Now everything is fine.

How do i solve this situation in future, i don't want to do the overwrite every time to fix the problem.

Thanks
