Update from 5.0.1

Post by sgclark » Fri Mar 30, 2012 2:57 pm

We're currently running Vault Version 5.0.1.18729 (64-bit) and our server needs to be replaced. This presents an opportunity for us to upgrade to a new version. Questions: can we safely upgrade directly to the latest (5.1.2?) version or should we upgrade to an intermediate version first? Are there breaking changes we will encounter? (Didn't see any in the Release Notes). For our Continuous Integration server, has the command line commands/syntax changed between V5.0.1 and V5.1.2?

You can upgrade directly from Vault 5.0.1 to Vault 5.1.2. Make sure you backup your sgvault and sgmaster databases prior to the upgrade.

No major command-line changes between those two. There was one bug fix on the Java CLC in Vault 5.0.4, but it shouldn't affect what you've written.
