Defaults for new users

How can I set option defaults for new users? I'm looking at a manual process, which is quite painful. How can I do this in a repeatable manner?

Looking on the SQL server in the table sgvault\User Tables\dbo.tblclientoptions, I see what appears to be settings for the defaults. Can I merely change these options directly in the database?

This is a new install which I am preparing, there has been no activity on the server except me checking in a couple of folders to gain familiarity with the interface.

Some options appear in the SQL tables like what you found and some settings are registry settings. You could edit the tblclientoptions. For the registry settings, look under Current User/Software and you should see a SourceGear Folder and then a settings folder.

How can I make these changes apply by default to all new users? Looking at the dbo.users table there doesn't appear to be a model user to base new user creations off of.

I really want to avoid a labourious manual configuration process every time we have a new user. I suspect we may fairly frequently have new users coming in, and I will have to do this off the corner of my desk while I attend to my regular work.

(It doesn't look like I'll need to fool with the settings stored in the registry.)

It's not currently possible to change what defaults are set for new users. I have recently entered a feature request for that functionality that was requested by another user in your same company.
