Re: Automatic login with uniPaaS
Vault hasn't been tested with uniPaaS and although uniPaaS is SCC-complient, we only support IDEs that have been fully tested with Vault.
However, it may be something simple, and not just an incompatibility.
What OS is your machine?
What OS is Bart's machine?
Vault stores profiles for automatic logins in the Windows user's local settings folder.
On Windows 7 this is
or on XP
Is there a Profiles file in the directory on Bart's machine?

On Windows 7 this is
Code: Select all
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Sourcegear\Vault_1
Code: Select all
C:\Documents and Settings\<userprofile>\Local Settings\Application Data\SourceGear\Vault_1

Re: Automatic login with uniPaaS
Hi Linda,
We both use Windows XP
And the actual path where my profile is stored is:
c:\Documents and Settings\<userprofile>\Local Settings\Application Data\Sourcegear\Vault_1\Client\
But on Bart's machine there is no SourceGear folder onder "Application Data". That is strange because in the Vault client he *did* had al the setting to automatically login. And the client also does.
Do you think that the absence of the file "Profiles" is the cause of the problem?
Otherwise in the same folder where I have "Profiles" I have the folder "3FC8B4FF-D8DD-42F2-9301-DABD600491D5" where all the base files are stored.
Where are these on Bart's machine?
Best regards,
Rob

Re: Automatic login with uniPaaS
Vault needs the Profiles for automatic login for Vault GUI Client, Visual Studio, etc.
Bart could have chosen to store his SourceGear Vault_1 folder in a different directory. This setting is in the Vault Client under Tools->Options->Local Files->Cache Location. You could check this setting in the Vault Client on Bart's machine to see what path is listed for Cache Location.
It's also possible Bart is logged into the machine under a different Windows username, so the local profile is under that Windows user's Documents and Settings.
