GET latest with -performdeletions doesn't seem to work

Post by stephen01 » Tue Nov 01, 2011 10:56 am

I'm having trouble getting the CLC call to GET latest (with the switch -performdeletions removeworkingcopy) to work properly. I've set up a dummy folder with three source files, and checked them all in. As a test, I then deleted one of the three files using Vault GUI (checking the remove local copy box). This seems to work well. However when I perform a get latest on a different client machine the deleted file remains on the disk. Shouldn't it be removed automatically by the GET latest command so that the Vault and local machines are in sync?

Which version of Vault are you using?

I ran a test with the latest version and it appears to work on Vault 5.1.2.

My version number is 5.1.1 . Would I need to upgrade the server and clients to version 5.1.2 to take advantage of the fix?

I tested it with Vault 5.1.1 as well and it worked there for me too. Would you mind if I took a closer look at your case offline? Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
