Hi
Since 2 months ago, found that my Vault Client facing problem ... it takes forever to retrieve repository structure. I have to delete the local cache folder and try again. After few days the problem come back again.
From windows\temp\sgvault\sgvault.log, it only show
----9/7/2011 3:26:43 PM xxx-111.111.111.111(222.222.222.222)--SSL Disabled Login
After that nothing else.
Any ideas?

Re: Retrieve repository structure forever
After logging into the Vault GUI client, go to Tools - Options - Network Settings and turn off "Request database delta on repository cache miss." That usually helps with getting the repository tree.
Let me know your results after that.

Re: Retrieve repository structure forever
It seems OK even still slower a bit. Maybe about 5 – 10 mins.

Have you ran a full SQL maintenance on your database? Here's a KB article that talks about what to run: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2924.

Re: Retrieve repository structure forever
I have tried the maintenance, but it is the same. It happen randomly.
The most recently happen is, I have set some folder security to allow read only permission to certain groups. The result is, most of the user unable to retrieve repository structure after login. Tried to wait for 4 hours but still can't complete.

Re: Retrieve repository structure forever
Folder security will slow Vault down some depending on how many settings were made.
We should take this offline so I can take a closer look at your settings. Could you send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?
