Hello there,
I would be happy if either
a) the installer would recognize a previous version of DiffMerge and offer to use the old installation path
(it DOES find it, but it removes it) -- or --
b) give the user a CHOICE to change the default installation path.
I prefer having my apps and tools somewhere else than on the C: drive ...
The installer obviously has a free area for the path, but no controls to change it, nor does it display
where the files will go.
Best regards, and thanks in advance,
Peter

Re: DiffMerge 3.3 Windows Installer
Sorry about forcing the install path. We switched to using a
new installer tool (WiX) and split the installation into shared
and non-shared components (so that other SG products can
use the shared EXE rather than having each product secretly
install its own copy) and we updated where the 32- and 64-bit
components are installed (the 64-bit installer installs into some
of the pieces into both Program Files and Program Files (x86)).
Not that any of that is an excuse. But having a customizable
directory got lost in the shuffle. Sorry.
I'll log a bug to fix this.
