Issue with viewing file differences

Hi,
I am using sourceoffsite (4.1.2) for last 4 years, But now a days, i am gettig issue with view file differences,
it shows differences character by character as shown in the attachement file (File diff.JPG), earlier it was showing fine(line by line). I dont know why it started showing character by character.

Please help to set it back to show differences line by line.

We've seen this before and I think it's related to character encodings.

What kind of file are you diffing? Does this happen with all files?

Could you post a screen shot of DiffMerge character encodings?

This is in DiffMerge under Tools->Options->Character Encodings.

Thanks for your replay,

We are differing VC++ source files and resource files(.rc files), it is happening for most of the files (not for all),
and as you mentioned, i didnot find DiffMerge under Tools->Options->Character Encodings. but i attached screen shot for the dialog under Tools->Options,
I am not getting, where it has changed, because earlier it was not like this,
and one more thing the source files are unicode supported.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

The setting I asked about is in DiffMerge itself, not in the SOS Client.

Could you post a screen shot of DiffMerge character encodings?

This is in DiffMerge under Tools->Options->Character Encodings.

You can launch DiffMerge by doing a diff or browsing to the SOS Client directory and double-clicking on sgdm.exe

Try choosing the Unicode button in Character Encodings.
