not able to log into admin site

Post by breedj » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:31 pm

Hi,

I got a new laptop today with windows 7 x64. I wanted to upgrade from source vault from my xp machine to the new wnidows 7. So I bought version 5.1.1. and installed it on my new machine. But after the installation of the vault server (x64), I get the login page with the returnurl to the licenses page. But if I login, the page does not redirect me to the licenses page. I get the login screen again. The username and password are correct, because if I enter a wrong one I get a message 'Login Failed'.
What's going wrong?
It's a fresh installation on a brand new machine (got it a few hours ago). I only installed windows updates IIS 7.5 and SQL Server 2008R2 dev.

Thanks,
Joost

Are cookies allowed in your browser?

Are there any errors in your Vault Server Log?

Is JavaScript enabled on your browser and the website added as a trusted website for the browser?

Try turning off any firewalls or anti-viruses you have installed on your machine and see if you can login then. If you can, then you can tweak those programs to allow Vault to operate normally.

Are there underscores in the machine name?

I had an underscore in the computer name. I changed the name. Now it seems to work.

Thanks.

Thank you for the update. Underscores and cookies don't seem to play well sometimes.
