files could not be mapped to the Vault project

I'm a new user. I'm trying to get my VB.NET project checked into vault but it doesn't work. I keep getting the following error message. files could not be mapped to the Vault project $/Main DCMP Web Site/Newweb

I've not been able to figure out why this would be happening but the majority of my files don't see to get added to the repository when I click on the solution and tell it to add the project to the repository.

Any help would be appreciated.
