Sorry for all the branch questions. I'm just making sure I fully understand the branch capabilities in Vault before we buy it.
Overall I'm very pleased with it's branching capabilities.
Ok, it appears as you add and delete you get sort of automatic new versions of the branch. When testing I did not tag anything.
Now testing again I decided to use tags to make it clearer over what the baseline of the branch is and where the edits end on the branch you want to apply.
But the tags don't show up in the merge wizard. How are you supposed to know what version to use especially if you don't want the latest changes on the branch applied.
Yet another Branch question (no tags in wizard)

We agree -- this interface isn't friendly. It's a bit too difficult to figure out exactly which versions to select.George Mills wrote:Sorry for all the branch questions. I'm just making sure I fully understand the branch capabilities in Vault before we buy it.

Version 2.1 has the improvement you suggest, but it is not yet released. I believe the current expectation is a ship date sometime in October.
