I am using Vault 2.0.5 and when I try to check out a file from VB6, it locks up my entire IDE. I have to end task in task manager to get out. Is there something that I am doing wrong?
I have Windows XP on my client and Windows Server 2003 on the server.
Thanks

Vault Locks Up VB6

That doesn't seem to be the issue. I just tried it again right after opening up my project. I moved vb clear to the edge of the screen so I could see any dialogs. When I right click a file and click Check Out, I get the 'Source Code Control Results' screen and the status says Completed with a cancel button to the right. There are no items in the results list. When I try to click on this dialog, I get a windows message saying: 'The action cannot be completed because the other application is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy application and correct the problem.'
I have a Switch To button and a retry button. Both buttons do nothing.
At this point, I have to bring up task manager and End Task on visual basic.
Thanks

This may or may not be relevant, but check out this forum discussion, and see whether it helps to edit the vbaddin.ini file: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... ht=vbaddin
Also, in some other cases for VB6, the integration didn't work properly until Visual SourceSafe was installed (although doing so will likely reset your default provider to VSS -you would have to change it back using the Vault GUI client in Tools->options).
