Milestones still visible for selection

I have made several milestones inactive but they are still visible in the vault client as options.
Additionally the date for this milestones are in the past as well.

How can I hide these milestones from the work item form drop down?

Are you updating a work item or adding a new one?

Are you in the web client or accessing the items through the Vault GUI client or accessing through Visual Studio?

I added new milestones and modified existing ones (set them to inactive) using the administration pages of the web client.

When adding or modifying a work item using the GUI client all milestones (new ones and inactive ones) are visible in the drop down list.

I am using the web client, administration pages to make some milestones inactive and add new milestones.

I am using the GUI client to edit or add new work items. In both cases (new work item or editing an existing one) the milestone drop down list contains all milestones regardless of their active/inactive flag.

I have reproduced the issue and have logged a bug for the developers. I haven't found a work-around yet for it. Inactive milestones don't show up in the Vault Pro web client.

Although initially I thought that the GUI Vault Client was unable to save work items under a milestone that was not active I am mistaken. It can and as such this just became a huge issue to me as my queries and work item reports are set for current milestones (ones which are active).

Now my folks can enter items for past milestones and will be missed during scrum sessions as they will not be visible. Please rush this fix. Thank you.

I haven't reproduced this kind of behavior yet. Can you tell me what the status on those items that are under inactive milestones?

Ok, now I think I see what you mean. This is only when adding a completely new item. I'll get an additional bug logged.

We have now tickets in a variety of milestones as the Vault GUI client allows (sometimes) to save them under inactive milestones and if it doesn't we lose time as we think it saves them but it doesnt.

Unfortunately, I don't have a time line on this. Using the web client might be a work-around to consider in order to prevent logging against inactive milestones.

I have v6.0 installed and this still an issue. Is there a timeline on fixing this? Do any of the 2 releases since 6.0 address this issue?
