Unable to connect to server

Post by nrajesh » Wed Mar 02, 2011 2:39 am

I've installed a trial version of SOS server on a machine named XC001, this machine has got MS VSS and .Net framework 3.5 installed on it.
I've installed a trail version of SOS client on a machine named XC026
Both these machines are on the same network (LAN)

When I tried to connect to XC001:8080 from XC026, I get a message "Unable to connect to server"
When I looked into the logs, I see the below error...

[3/2/2011 11:52:48 AM] Connecting to nc024:8080...
[3/2/2011 11:52:48 AM] CSOSBaseSocket::OnConnect (nErrorCode = 10061)
[3/2/2011 11:52:48 AM] Unable to connect to server

Can someone please let me know what am I missing here ?

Regards,
Rajesh.N

Was this from the SOS client log?

Code: Select all

[3/2/2011 11:52:48 AM] Connecting to nc024:8080...
[3/2/2011 11:52:48 AM] CSOSBaseSocket::OnConnect (nErrorCode = 10061)
[3/2/2011 11:52:48 AM] Unable to connect to server
We'd like to see a copy of the SOS Server log. The SOS Server log is called log.txt and is in the SOS Server directory on the SOS Server machine. You can post it here or send the log to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.

Dear Linda,

I appreciate you support. Looks like I've sorted out the problem myself !
I did not had my Source Gear service running under service.msc
When I started the service, everything worked as expected.

Thanks !!!

Yes, that would be a problem.

Glad things are working for you now!
