Is Vault the baseline Microsoft plans to use?

I heard that Microsoft is working on a new Source Code control system and is built on SQL Server. Is Vault that product? It would be great is it is.

So far I think Vault is great. But if Microsoft plans to release a system and I'm sure (eventually) it would be good. But I don't want to change Source Code Control systems again in 2 years because Microsoft has take integration to a new level. Which they likely will do.
