Feature Request: File Contents Search

Hi,

I've had a request from several users for a feature that was available in VSS but I don't see in Vault. I've searched the forums and while I see it being requested previously the requests were made several years, and versions, ago so I'd like to bring it back up...

Can you add, in the GUI client search pane, an option to search all files contents within the selected repository path for a given string (e.g. "AAA-B12-34567" or "Find this text")?

For example, we add a unique ID to each of our files to align our development work items with the larger project work items to make it easier to track down all objects involved with a given project work item; it would be very helpful if it was possible to search for this string within the files of the Vault repository without making it necessary to download the entire Repository or a given branch.

We're hoping to implement Find in Files, work item 5252, in a future release. I"ve added your "vote." Thanks for the feedback and the specifics on how you would use it!
