I upgraded my Fortress 1.1 server to Vault Pro 5.1 and now I can't open my VS 2005 project that was configured to use the Fortress client. It just hangs VS 2005 while trying to open and if I click on the VS 2005 window it pops up a dialog box say that VS is waiting on another application and gives me the option to switch to that application (which it doesn't switch to anything) or continue to wait, or cancel the operation (which is greyed out).
What do I need to do to get this to open?

How are you trying to open the project? From disk or from "open from Vault/Source Control?"
Are you using the Enhanced or Classic integration client?

It's being opened from disk. I'm using the Enhanced Client. I didn't change anything (i.e. source control configuration) in my project before I installed the new Vault Pro client on my workstation. So, to start I had VS 2005 with the Fortress 1.1 client installed and VS 2005 configured to use the Enhanced client and then I just installed the VP client.

Your bindings might need a change. Do you have changes on disk? If not, open Visual Studio, set the client to the Vault Professional Enhanced Client, then go to File - Vault Source Control - Open from Vault. You will allow the new opening to overwrite what is on disk to set your bindings to Vault Pro.
