It looks like there's a concurrency problem with SOSServer and Antivirus Software. I'm running ETrust 7.0 and SOS V4.0.2 and if i do a get latest version from my client on a different machine over my complete source tree. Sometimes my client hangs, sometimes i get weird messages in the client.
Here's a log from the servers log.txt
07.08.2004 13:02:24 - 6: Error removing user temp folder 'C:\Program Files\SourceOffSite Server\temp\georg632274805075711609'.
07.08.2004 13:02:24 - The process cannot access the file "operationsWizard.dsp.z" because it is being used by another process.
07.08.2004 13:09:19 - 8: Exception: The process cannot access the file "C:\Program Files\SourceOffSite Server\temp\georg632274807010723993\Property.idt.z" because it is being used by another process.
If i turn off ETrust it works without problems.
Concurrency Problem with SOSServer and ETrust Antivirus

SOS Server does a lot of writing to and deleting from the server's temp directory. If the anti-virus software is scanning that folder in real time, it could have a lock on the files and prevent SOS from working properly.
SOS and VSS do not operate well with anti-virus software, especially if it's doing real time scanning. Can you exclude the SOS temp directory and the VSS directory from scanning?
