visual studio 2008 plugin prompts for checkout of sln file

Hello, I'm currently running Vault 5.0.4 with the visual studio enhanced client. I have adjusted the setting in integration options for the enhanced client to prompt to check out when editing files. When opening a visual studio project, there is a "prompt to checkout" dialog box asking to check out the .sln file, even though this file isn't being changed. Is there another setting I'm missing here or is this a bug?

I haven't been able to reproduce this behavior.

Do you get prompted when you are opening the solution, or when checking out a file other than the solution file?

Are you opening from disk or opening from Vault Source Control?

What type of solution is this? Are files already checked out in the solution?

Could you post screenshots of your options in VS 2008 under Tools->Options->Source Control->Integration options and Fortress Options.

Hello, and thanks for the quick response.

This is a C++ MFC project. I am getting prompted when opening either the .sln or .vcproj files from file->open->project/solution after getting the latest version through the Vault client. None of the files are checked out before I open the project.

I don't have fortress options, but vault options. Hope this helps.

When you open the project and the solution file is checked out, take a look at that file's file status in the Vault GUI Client. Does the file have an Edited status?

If you diff the checked out version with the repository version, are they the same?
