Difficulty in Login in to Vault Admin Web Client

Post by funty » Tue Sep 28, 2010 2:19 am

I have installed the Vault server version 5.0 18845, but I'm finding it difficult to login with the Admin Username and Password i used while installing. it keeps returning this message "Login:failed: The Username or Password supplied is invaild" What is the way out?

Please i hope to get a response asap.
Thanks

Can you log in with the Admin user and password with a Vault GUI Client?

Does your server name have a hyphen in it?

Can you log in to the Vault Admin Web Client if you use the Vault server machine's IP address?

Hi Linda,

No, I can't login with the Vault GUI Client and the server name doesn't have an hyphen in it.

I cant login with the IP address either.

Is there something else i'm missing out?

I have attached the logfile as well as the config file

The server log shows the login problem, but it's not clear why it's not finding your account.

Is this a new installation? Or did you upgrade?

What operating system are you installing two?

Do you have an sgmaster database along with your sgvault database?

Send me a copy of the Vault Server installation log. It's called Vault_install.log and is in your user's temp directory on the server machine. Type %temp% in an address bar to find your temp directory. Send the log zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.

Hi Linda,

Thanks for your support, I eventually figured out the problem and i am able to login. I was actually using the wrong "username", i used "administrator" instead of admin.

Ah, yes, it's Admin, rather than administrator.

Thanks for the update. : )
