Unable to upgrade to 5.0.4 - needs .NET framework 3.5

Post by steopa » Sun Aug 22, 2010 9:12 pm

Dear SourceGear,

I am trying to upgrade from version 4.1.2 to version 5.0.4 on my SBS 2003 machine. It gave me an error saying "SourceGear Vault Server cannot be installed on systems with .NET Framework version smaller than 3.5"

I went to upgrade, and saw that .NET 4.0 is available. I installed .NET 4.0, but I am still getting the same error message. The log file reads:

SourceGear Vault Server cannot be installed on systems with .NET Framework version smaller than 3.5
=== Logging stopped: June 2010 21:09:55 ===

Any thoughts?

You still need to install the 3.5 .NET Framework, as the 4.0 version does not provide the components that Vault 5.0.4 needs.

You can download the 3.5 Framework here:
