Could not get public key from server-error message

Post by KenBirch » Fri Jun 04, 2010 9:02 pm

Hello support.
I have just moved Fortress V1.1.4 to a new server, and I am able to access it via the web-page and all works well. However when I try to use the client application I get this error 'Could not get public key from server'. Anyone got any Ideas how to fix this please.

Thankyou for a quick reply and the link, unfortunately I do not know where the Vault logfile is kept, and as my Server is running 2k8, all the paths have changed!. I think I used the 'Network Service' during set-up but I did find 'C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Crypto/RSA/MachineKeys' however and I think it does the same thing, except that the permissions for 'Network Service' were set to 'full control', so no apparent problem there. Any other suggestions would be greatly recieved. :)

Hello again, I have found the Vault Log-file and it tells me I used the 'NT Auth/System' user. I enabled permission on the 'MachineKeys' folder and now everything works correctly.

Thank you for all your help, kind regards Ken Birch.
