tree structure could not be built

Post by Thierry Bouquain » Fri Jul 30, 2004 1:35 am

I've received this message this morning when starting my vault client.

I've enabled debug loging and the error message is:

An error was encountered looking up the owner of a folder or file for the source code tree. The tree was not built. TreeRevision: 1239 TreeLevel: 4 ParentObjVerID: 23161 ObjID: 11233 ObjVersion: 1 Name: AssemblyInfo.cs PinFrom: 0 ParentPathHash: 1729127552 PathHash: 0

Does anyone know how to solve this ? Can the tree be rebuilt ?

Thierry Bouquain:

Do you happen to have multiple repositories, where the same path exists within the same repository (Ex: Rep1 -> $/dir/a/ and Rep2 -> $/dir/a )?

What version of Vault are you using?

A case like this involves some in-depth information about your database. Can you click on the e-mail button below, and send me a message? We'll take a look at this off of the forum.

A quick update - Thierry restored a backup of the database, and moved on from there.
