We have been using vault clients for a while now with no real issues with a VS development project, but today something went wrong on a new PC that we are trying to install it on.
When we try to run the application we get the following error:
---------------------------
VaultGUIClient.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
---------------------------
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0x5e4 (1508), Thread id=0x73c (1852).
Please help - we have search you KB with no joy and also looked on the internet. PC is a Windows 2000, VS 2003 with .NET Framework 1.1.4322
Error trying to run Vault 1.0.3

I don't think this is the problem, but it does bear mentioning. Vault 1.0.x was compiled against the 1.0 .Net framework. Vault 1.0.x *should* work on something with only the 1.1 .Net platform, but I can safely say I've never tested that configuration.
Have you thought about using the free upgrade to Vault 2.0.4? This uses the 1.1 .Net framework.
It would be easy to test out this theory. Download the Vault 2.0.4 client, install it on the new machine, and then connect to the vaultdemo.sourcegear.com machine.
