There seems to be a bug when Pending an Add for a code file under a DataSet. The screenshot below is after I had deleted the SampleDataSet.cs file and re-added it with the DataSet already checked in. There is no “Add to Fortress” option, and the Check-In option causes an error.

This was reported offline as well by this user. I will log it. In the meantime, try checking in using the Fortress GUI client.

I added the file manually.

Also, I'm using the enhanced client with VS 2008.

A fix for this issue will ship in the next version of Vault (and Fortress).

In the mean time, it might be helpful to know that you can right-click on the parent file (SampleDataSet.xsd in the posted example), select Add to Fortress, and the new file will be added.

Thanks for the work-around. I tried clicking on the missing file itself, but not on the "parent" file.

The next version of Vault is 5.0 and will be released later this summer. Beta 2 should be released in a week or so.
