Im migrating from SourceSafe
I have a large SourceSafe database (around 2Gb), source code wise we have a range of some 5 main products. Presently these all exist in a single SC database which is very convenient for many reasons, including the ability to get latest recursive from one place and get all the new code company wide in one go.
I read somewhere its better to keep your SGV Repositories as small as possible, so the concept lends itself well to 5 repositories, but most developers need access to all 5 repositories.
What are the Pros and Cons of a single large repository versus multiple smaller repositories ?
Best practices, multiple repositories or one?

Basically it's an issue of performance vs workflow. Smaller repositories with fewer users on each can provide better performance. But if you want to share across projects, etc., and want all users accessing the same items, one repository might be the way to go.
