What user does Fortress run under?

Post by piers » Thu Apr 23, 2009 3:53 am

I'm getting "Access denied" when trying to get latest. I have all the right access with my domain user (the working folder is a mapped drive) but Fortress doesn't seem to have access.

The Fortress web service runs under the IIS Process Model account that you selected during installation. The default is Network Service, but another option is a Custom Account\Identity Impersonation, where you can configure a domain account. Is this "access denied" error coming from the Windows file system, or IIS?

You can look in the System Started section of the Fortress server log to see what account is used. Look for the "Identity=" entry.
The Fortress server log is sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine.

Let me know if you need further help with this.
