Changing login names for AD integration

I have a user which has a login name John, I want to have this user authenticate to Active Directory but his username there is JohnS. Is it safe to rename the login name in Vault so it can properly authenticate with AD ?


And kudos to sourcegear for probably the best AD integration I have seen
