We have workers in the Ukraine who are all up to data on Vault Client. and have express some issues on switching to the Enhanced Client. Below are the issues. Please Advise.
----------------------------------
I have my own observation as well and maybe Steve or Ross can explain it or tell me how I can avoid it in future.
So, I have no changes made in the project called Maduiles.Names (in wbDotNet35EF solution) however every time when I try to rebuild whole solution it is being checked out. I always undo check out after build and I’m able to do that in future but maybe there is more suitable solution?
Such behaviour takes place on my machine in the office. I showed this to Nick and Mike.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The VS2008 integration is significantly better with this enhanced client, no doubt. Mike reported, however, that he had problems uploading files – his client showed the file as uploaded (and indeed the project file was modified) while it was not actually in the Vault. So when others were getting latest they got a ‘file missing error’. This happened just yesterday in the NNN.Names project, NNNN solution.

Re: Multiple Issues for Distance Workers
In the Enhanced Client, files are automatically checked out if Visual Studio thinks they have changed. What kind of project is this, and what files get checked out? Are there .dlls in source control, for instance, that may have changed? If the project file is checked out, are there any changes when you do a diff? So, I have no changes made in the project called Maduiles.Names (in wbDotNet35EF solution) however every time when I try to rebuild whole solution it is being checked out. Check in the users temp directory %temp% on the client machine to see if any errors were logged. If so, the file name would be VaultVsipClient.txt.Mike reported, however, that he had problems uploading files – his client showed the file as uploaded (and indeed the project file was modified) while it was not actually in the Vault. Also check the pending change set to see if the transaction is still there. Files may be in a Needs Merge state, which would prevent them from being uploaded.
