A hidden feature of VSS was that you could create a "Point-in-Time" label, and then get the version as it existed at that time.
The secret was to reset your computer's clock, and then create a label.
Now that you've fixed that "bug" in SourceSafe, that "feature" no longer exists.
So i propose a well defined "Point In Time Label", or "Point In Time Get", or whatever wording you would like.
Just let me get a version as it existed in the Vault on a given date/time.
Feature Request: Point in time label

You can already do this with Vault without any secret workarounds.
Select your folder, do Show History. Select View Folder History by Version.
Highlight the version number that corresponds to your point in time. Click Get Tree, View Tree, Branch, Share, etc. depending on what you want to do with this version.
