Vault 4.1.4 client can't connect via internet

I can reach that address from here, so it's getting through to your server. Pull up a web browser and try the following addresses to see if you get a page:

Re: Vault 4.1.4 client can't connect via internet
Thanks for the quick response Beth. Those links work for us as well when we access them from outside our LAN. The problem arises when you click on one of the embedded links in the Vault home page, that's when the "server not found" condition occurs
Re: Vault 4.1.4 client can't connect via internet
Those links in the Vault service home page are usually set to the address directly assigned to the machine. If your external IP actually points to a router or firewall, then it's getting forwarded to an internal address, and that would be the address that the Vault installation picks up. If you go to http://12.234.182.211/Vaultservice/vaultweb, then you should get a login screen.

Re: Vault 4.1.4 client can't connect via internet
FYI Beth:
We resolved our problem. Internet access was ok, our methodology was flawed. Our attempts to access Vault via the internet were done on Macs with wireless connections. I'm not a Mac expert, but I'm told that the problem was caused by "parallels" (i.e. Windows running in Mac environment), and not an internet connection.
Thanks again for your help and the quick responses.
