I've been following the progress of Vault for a while now and have finally started to try it out. Setup went without a hitch, but the VSS import isn't working so well. I followed the Tips for a successful VSS Import for my second attempt (into a new repository), but got the same result.
Label Verification: The label 3.31.1 was not imported because of the VSS error "Unspecified error"
Label Verification: The label 1.0.0 was not imported because of the VSS error "Unspecified error"
Label Verification: The label 3.15.1 was not imported because of the VSS error "Unspecified error"
Label Verification: The label 3.48.0 was not imported because of the VSS error "Unspecified error"
<and so on for a total of 579 labels>
00:46:56.5542574
Here is a snippet from the import log for one of the labels that failed:
30/06/2004 6:08:23 p.m. Importing Label: $/Listener Link/data/Procs (3.31.1)
Committing Label Contents
**Failed** Error getting label from VSS.
Unspecified error
Trying to get the label another way.
**Failed** Error getting label from VSS.
Unspecified error
The odd thing is that there are a large number of labels that were imported successfully. If I try to use VSS Explorer to retrieve the files labeled with one of the labels that failed, then I don't have any problems.
I read in one of the other threads about someone having a problem possibly due to shared files. There aren't a large number of shared files in my VSS database, but I'm wondering whether they may be causing my problems too or if it is something else? For the 3.31.1 label, none of the files in that VSS project are shared however, so I suspect it might be something else.
Thanks,
Jason.
