Incorrect file statistics after VSS import.

Post by adamswann » Mon Jun 28, 2004 1:36 pm

We moved from VSS to Vault a few months ago and have been happy so far. There is one issue that has been nagging me since we imported our data:

On the "Choose Repository" dialog box, the statistics are incorrect for one of my repositories. Here's how it appears:

My Project [revision 30542, -4940 files, -160 folders]

Everything has been working file. Those numbers have been slowly creeping up to zero as we do branches. We didn't notice the discrepancy until we had been using the system for a few weeks... since everything was working, it was not worth the pain to re-do the import.

Anyone aware of a way to correct these stats? Is there anything dark lurking in the shadows that is going to come up and bite me down the road?

Not to worry. These numbers are not a true reflection of your database.

The counting is based on a system in Vault 1.0 which doesn't account for some of the new ways we add and delete files. We plan to fix it in a future release.

If you look at repository properties in the Vault Admin tool, you should get an accurate count. Select the Repositories tab, highlight the repository name and click the "Properties" button.
