Could not retrieve the file from the database

If have been using Vault Version 4.1.3 for a few weeks now without a problem but yesterday I started getting the following errors when trying to check item in:

Transaction Failed
An error occurred while trying to end a transaction
Could not retrieve the file from the database

This problem has occurred from 2 different client machines and I have seen it from both the Vault GUI client and from Visual Studio.

Since I made this post I have just found a SQL Server Error in the windows event viewer posted at the same time as the Vault error:

Error: 17805, Severity: 20, State: 3
Invalid buffer received from client.

We'd like to see a copy of the Vault Server log. The Vault server log is sgvault.log and is in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine. Send it to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Be sure to include a link to this forum post.
