The subject says it all. A common thing I do in a given folder is select all, then right-click, then check out, say. But if there is a ghosted file in the selection, there is no right-click menu, it just vanishes. It is not obvious what is wrong, but even now that I know the problem, sometimes I have pages of files and I have to scroll through slowly to find the ghost file, and un-select it before the right-click menu returns. There must be a better way
EDIT: further, if I make a selection including a ghosted file and normal files, then right-click, then all the top menus vanish as well.
No right-click menu if selection includes ghosted file

Re: No right-click menu if selection includes ghosted file
This is a known issue, bug 10341 in our Item Tracking system.
Top menus vanish because those menus don't apply to ghosted items.
I'll add you comments to the bug and bump it up in priority.
