Add To Source Control Option Crashes In Visual Studio 2008
I am using Vault 4.1.3 on Windows Vista Ultimate. I am using Visual Studio 2008 Professional and SQL Server 2005. I try to do the "Add to Source Control" for a web application project. The command doesn't respond and then the command gets removed completely from the Visual Studio 2008 File menu etc. I'm able to login to the Vault Server and Vault Client. Any ideas on how to get this to work with VS2008?

Are you using the Classic or Enhanced Client?
We'd like to see a client and server log that covers the time of the crash.
To enable Visual Studio logging, see this link:

For verbose logging in the server log, select the Verbose option in the Vault Admin Web Client, under Server Settings->Logging.
Then reproduce the behavior and send the logs zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda.

Re: Add To Source Control Option Crashes In Visual Studio 2008
Linda,
I looked through some of the other documentation and I found that by default Visual Studio 2008 does not select Vault for source control. In fact, I think this may be some sort of bug in VS2008. Basically, if you install Vault, you get the Add To Source Control option added to the File menu in VS2008. However, in the Visual Studio 2008 options, the default source control provider is still set to nothing. If you click on the drop-down menu you get to pick from two different Vault options, either the classic or enhanced. I picked the enhanced, restarted VS2008 and it appears to be working for now. Thank you for your assistance.
