I am brand new to this so please steer me straight if any of my assumptions are off. I am developing using Visual Studio 2005, C# .NET I just set up Vault, I got the repository set up on the server where the application will be hosted. From there I set up a working folder using the Vault Client on my local development machine in order to check files out to it, make changes and test the changes that I am making. From there, I am checking files back in but no changes are actually posted to the code base that I set the repositoy from. My impression is that once you commit your changes, they would be made the latest version on the code base that your repository is built from and the changes would be immediately available to anyone using the code that this repository was set up from. Is that an incorrect assumption? Any ideas where my code changes may be being saved other than my local working folder?
Thanks in advance,
Brent

It's hard to say what's going on without taking a closer look at your configuration, and also the steps you are taking.

Re: Problems Viewing Changes to checked in files
Linda,
I apologize. I should have searched the forum a little bit harder before posting. I found a post on shadow folders and we successfully set up a shadow folder and that seemed to do the trick. We are now struggling with the shadow folder not re-compiling and displaying changes to our class files once checked in. the .aspx files are working like a charm.
Thanks for your help.
Brent

Ah, you needed shadow folders. Thanks for the update.

Hi Brent. My response here might be helpful to you.
(Both the question and answer were just posted today, so I'm not passive-aggressively pointing out any search inadequacy on your part! )
