We just purchased Vault and are using 2.0.3.
Well, one of my first experiences is that DiffMerge is showing whacky stuff - it looks like binary garbage. I am trying to see the differences between two versions of a SQL file. They are both plain text and look fine in SQL Server Query Analyzer.
We have DiffMerge 1.0.0.0 installed.
Are we missing an update/upgrade?
Not a great confidence builder since we just went live with Vault this week.
I am hoping this is just a DiffMerge issue and not corruption in our Vault.
Thanks

Probably a DiffMerge (sgdm.exe) issue.
My guess is the files you are viewing at are Unicode. See :

At this time, the DiffMerge tool shipping with Vault 2.0.3 is not Unicode enabled. Unfortunately, I can only suggest two options:
1) Re-save the files in ASCII / UTF-8 or when generating script from SQL Server, look under the "options" tab within the scripting dialog - change the file format option to "Windows text (ANSI)"
2) Configure the Vault client to use a different diff / merge tool which supports Unicode.
