Hi, I have just installed VS 2003 and Vault client 4.1.3 on Vista. I am having problems using the Open From Source Control function on the File menu in VS 2003. When I click the menu item I get the Connect to Server login box, then I get the Choose Repository box, but then nothing. The dialog box which should allow me to select from the Vault folder tree does not appear. I also get the same problem if I try to bind a project under the Change Source Control option under the File menu.
Although this problem is on Vista I did see the issue on XP a few days ago but somehow I managed to fix it on that occasion but unfortunately I am not sure what I did to fix it.
Thanks
Nick

Can you confirm for me what setting you have in VS under Tools - Options - Source Control? Could you post screenshots of each of the Source Control configuration pages from there?
Are you able to access that project using the Vault GUI client?

Re: Cannot open project from Source control in VS 2003
Sorry for the delay. Screen prints attached.
I can access the project using the Vault client, yes. If I try to Edit the solution file from the Vault client it opens in VS but I get the following message:
"The solution appears to be under source control, but its binding information cannot be found. It is possible that the MSSCCPRJ.SCC file or another item that holds the source control settings for the solution, has been deleted. Because it is not possible to recover this missing information automatically, the projects whose bindings are missing will be treated as not under source control."
In order to overcome this message I try to re Bind the project but this is not possible due to the original issue raised by this post.
