Files could not be mapped to the Vault project $/...

We just converted a VS05 solution to VS08. The VS05 solution was in Vault and working fine. I made a new repository for the 08 sln and tried to add the whole sln to the new repository. When I do this, all but 2 projects are added just fine, but 2 of them hang for a very long time and then give the following error:

Files could not be mapped to the Vault project $/...

We are running SG Vault 3.1.9. What could be causing this problem?

How are you adding the projects?

Are there any errors corresponding to the failure in the Vault Server log (sgvault.log in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine)? Anything that indicates a system restart?

I am adding the project from the VisualStudio 2008 IDE Solution Explorer.

The log file shows the following:

----9/15/2008 7:30:57 AM admin--cboi11p04.boi.spro.net(209.xxx.xxx.xxx)--SSL Disabled VaultFileUpload.aspx encountered: an exception while calculating the CRC for AddFile. Error in the application.

I have upgraded to the latest version of Vault (4.1.2) (server and client) and I'm still having the issue. I seem to have narrowed the problem down to trying to check in larger files (1 Mb or larger).

As an experiment, can you try to upload the file from the server machine, connecting to localhost? That would eliminate any network issues.
