Upgrade from Version 1.2.2.740

Post by Brent » Tue Jun 15, 2004 6:30 pm

Hi,

I have a licensed version of vault Version 1.2.2.740 up and running and just finished purchasing a new version of vault for a different department/server and it's the latest release.

I upgraded my client software to version 2 and now I can no longer connect to the old server running version 1.

Do I have to uninstall/install the correct client as I need them?

I would ultimately like to upgrade (or downgrade) the new server to eliminate this problem.

Can I download and install the version 2 of Vault as an upgrade to version 1 or do I have to pay and rebuy the product? Or can I use my new license on the software?

Thanks for your help,

Brent

It's free. All users of Vault 1.x get the 2.0 upgrade at no charge.

You don't even need a new serial number. Just install the 2.0 release and it will work with your existing serial numbers.

Note: If you are running Vault 1.0 and you want to upgrade to 2.0, you have to first uninstall 1.0 and then run the 2.0 installer. If you are running Vault 1.1 or 1.2, you can just run the 2.0 installer and let it perform the upgrade
