Deleting a Shared Folder

Post by WebDemon » Tue Jun 15, 2004 8:04 am

I recently created a shared folder off of our current dev branch so that our build master could test some build changes. The shared folder has several subfolders containing source code, all of which have files checked out. There's rarely (if ever) a time that all the source files are checked in unless we're about to release. Now I'm trying to delete the shared folder (that was just meant to be temporary) and it won't let me "...because it or one of its children is checked out." Is there any way to get rid of this share without checking everything in? I would think that deleting a share shouldn't try to delete all of its children as well...

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I think the answer is no - there isn't a way to delete it while it has files checked out. However, it should be smarter than this, and allow deletion of the folder if its files are checked out to branches other than the current one. We'll add this to our list.
