Intermittent error checking out file

Hi,

I'm having a rare, intermittent problem when I check out files. It only seems to happen if the file is checked out because I started typing in a file that is readonly and not checked out to anyone.

The error is that Fortress thinks the file is checked out to me exclusively on another workstation.. which it's not. Referesing Fortress status doesn't resolve the error, I have to close VS and restart it.

When VS re-opens the project, Fortress correctly sees that I infact have the file checked out to me on the local machine, but the Readonly flag on the file still hasn't been cleared. Clearing it manually let's me continue working fine.

Do you have access to the Fortress Admin web page? Could you check in there to see if maybe there's a previous checkout hanging around?

Also, what version of Vault are you on?

Hi Beth,

No, no lingering checkouts. The Fortress version is 1.1.2.18185.

Hey Andy.

We haven't had any other reports of this behavior, but if you're willing to turn on diagnostic logging in Visual Studio (Tools->Options->Source Control->Integration Options) and send me the log (ian at sourcegear dot com) if/when it happens again, I can investigate.
