Feature Request: Cancel Vault Login in Visual Studio dialog

Post by martillodecampo » Sat Jun 21, 2008 7:45 am

I didn't see a specific forum for posting feature requests, so I'm just adding this here.

It would be nice if there were a "Cancel" button in the Visual Studio Vault login dialog box (see screenshot). Currently if for some reason you can't connect the only choices are "OK" (meaning try again) or "Work Offline." In my experience, if you choose "Work Offline" it's rarely an enjoyable experience reconnecting your Visual Studio solution to Vault once you're re-connected to the server. It would be nice to be able to simply cancel the operation so that you can give it another try after you've resolved your connection problems.

Thanks.

I do agree with you that a cancel is sometimes what you want to do. Unfortunately, at the point of offering the login dialog, we can no longer cancel the solution load, so our only options are success and offline.
