How do I link a task item to a transaction after checkin?

How do I link a task item to a transaction after checkin?
I checked in a group of files, but I forgot to assign it to an item. (I didn't fill in the item # in the "Update Bugs" textbox on the "Check In" screen.) I can find the transaction, so I know the revision number. How do I link the task/bug to the transaction?
I'm using Fortress 1.1.2, VS 2008.
Thanks in advance.

If you want the information in source control history, then you could Show History on the folder that contained all the files, and show history by Folder Version. Select the version in the results, then click Details. You'll be able to modify or add a change set comment with the item number.
If you use link notation: Item:34, clicking on that in the Versions Change Set Comment will take you to that bug.
It's a little harder updating the bug with source code info. Use the Vault Web Client to to access SourceCode Control and browse your repositories. If the checkin was recent, click on Recent Checkins. Look for the version that matches your checkin, then copy the links to the file versions and add them with a comment to the bug(s) that were fixed.
This should approximate what Fortress does.
Another option would be to recheckout the files in one transaction, modify one slighty then check them in with the bug update. Before you do this, set you options in the Vault GUI Client under Tools->Options->Checkin->Checkin Unchanged Files to Checkin. You can change it back when you're done.

Link Item to Change Set Post Checkin
It's not uncommon to have someone forget to link an item to their checkins. Could a feature be added that would allow linking an item to a change set after checkin?
