I have a user who checked out some files exclusively and had to have her laptop sent for repairs. She asked me to undo the checkout, but if I try to do this from the client, it just doesn't do anything and does not report an error. If I click on "Undo Checkout" from the server, it responds with a page that says, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
How can I correct this?
cannot undo checkout from client or server

Try restarting IIS, then see if you can undo the check from the Vault Admin Client->SourceCode Repositories->(RepositoryName)->Undo Checkout.
If that doesn't work, send me a copy of the Vault server log that covers the time of the failed operations. It's sgvault.log in %windir%\temp\sgvault on the server machine. Please email it as an attachment to support at sourcegear.com Attn: Linda

Thanks Linda, restarting IIS fixed it.
