We have been running SOS 3.5.3 classic on NT 4 server succesfully for a long time.
But since we changed to Windows 2000 server, we are having major problems.
It works up to a point, but intermittently the SOS server bombs out with "Connection reset by peer" in the log file, and locks up the server so badly we have to reboot it with the power switch. Nothing else has changed except the server platform.
MS Visual Source Safe works fine accessing the same databases.
Any ideas would be much appreciated

This could a problem with a bug in the VSS automation component:

However usually restarting the SOS Server Service is all that's needed.
If the entire machine is locking up, then this may be a problem with the SOS Server machine's network cards:
