Fortress bug item disabled on checkin

Using VS2005 with the Classic client, Fortress server/client 1.1.0.16216.

When checking in items we can no longer assign to a bug report as the Update Bugs dialog is completely inactive other than the OK, Cancel and Help buttons. The Help button also does nothing.

We were able to reproduce this, and I will log a bug -- we'll figure what's going on.

In the meantime, you could checkin using the Fortress GUI Client, where bug association still works.

Another possibility is to switch to the Enchanced Client, although this involves unbinding and rebinding the project.

This will be fixed in Vault 4.1.1, Fortress 1.1.1, due out soon.

It doesn't appear the GUI client will allow me to select a bug either, the Update Bugs frame is grayed out at the bottom of the checkin dialog.

This is on Fortress 1.1.0.16096

Do any of the files selected for checkin have a status of "modified" or "edited" or "added"?

The update bugs section is only enabled for those types of transactions.

Which issue are you asking about?

The GUI client enabling the update bugs section only when there is a valid transaction is by design. I can log a request to change that behavior, but that wasn't something we were planning on changing for the next release.

The Classic IDE client not enabling the update bugs section has been fixed for 4.1.1 which is tentatively scheduled for release this month.
