Solution file not updated when rebinding to new server name

Hi!
We have recently changed the domain name and the fortress server is of course renamed.
When opening an existing solution it complains about not beeing able to connect to the server which is normal as the solution file points to the old server.

I am prompted and choose to go offline, change server bindings and everything is fine and dandy....
However...the next time I open the solution I still get the "unable to connect" message and are forced to rebind again(!).
When checking the checked in solution-file I find that the server address is not updated...

Environment:
MS Vista Business, VS 2005, Fortress VS 2005 Client, Fortress Server 1.0.6.15954

Did you save the solutoand project file and check them in when you rebound the solution?

I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior.

This doubtless seems like a stupid question, but are you sure you picked the new server name? It's easy to accidentally log in again at the same server.

Hmmm...
When I choose to Unbind (File / Change Fortress Bindings ) the solution is actually never checked out...( no wonder it doesn't update the solution in the repository... ) I Bind the solution successfully and its still checked in...

Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here...?

I think I figured this out. If you don't exit the change bindings dialog after unbinding, the changes don't get written. Certainly it's fair to call this a bug.

To get the binding information to update, try this:

1) Open the solution offline.
2) Go to the change bindings dialog. Unbind everything.
3) Exit the dialog by pressing OK.
4) Go back to the change bindings dialog. Bind everything to the right server.
5) Exit the dialog by pressing OK.

The solution and project files should be checked out and have the updated server URL.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we'll fix this in a future release.
