Internal Error 2738 when trying to install

Hi. I'm having trouble installing SOS 4.2 - I keep getting Internal Error 2738. I think it's because I had an old version previously installed and did not properly remove it. I think I need a way to manually uninstall all the SOS registry entries etc so it will let me install the current version. Maybe I'm wrong - maybe that's not what it is at all. But if not, then what is it and how can I fix it? Any help would be appreciated.
